The VS Scrubber, with its venturi throat and high energy, are typically used
for collection of sub-micron particulate. The dust stream enters the wet
inlet area at top while the scrubbing liquid is introduced on the wall through
open pipes. The liquid and particulate are thoroughly mixed in the
converging, diverging, venturi throat. The slurry then enters a cyclonic
separator where the gas and slurry are separated and discharged. The
venturi throat is available as fixed or adjustable, and manual or
automatic, depending upon the application requirements.
