Indusco's Fume Scrubbers are designed to
meet the stringent needs of our customers' applications. Typically,
these scrubbers are countercurrent packed bed vertical columns (PC), but we
also supply Crossflow Horizontal Scrubbers (CF), Grid Scrubbers (GS) and
Ejectors (EJ). Each unit is specially sized for the appropriate volume
and efficiency. Each unit is usually so dependent on the individual
process and application that we must design each one for these specific
parameters: Scrubber Type and Size, Packing Materials, Packing Depths
and Levels, Overall Scrubber Size, Scrubbing Distribution Systems, Support
Plate Systems, Recycle Sumps, and Mist Eliminator Types. Chemical fumes
are forced or induced through our scrubbers with fan or pump. The
scrubbing media makes contact with the fumes where physical and/or chemical
scrubbing actions occur. Scrubbing liquid types and flows vary between
applications, and Indusco can supply calculations and data to arrive at proper
flows for scrubber efficiency requirements. We also determine pressure
drop analysis for fan selection and system integration. Skid mounted
systems are available which include pumps, fans, instrumentation, ducting, and
piping.
